Background:Orlistat is the primary active ingredient in the marketed product for weight loss, which is then replaced by a new formulation of the main active ingredient.

Methods:In this study, we used a bioequivalence study of Xenical (xenical) to compare the effect of Xenical compared to the main active ingredients in the main formulation of the Xenical. Both formulations were purchased from Novartis Consumer Healthcare in Switzerland and the active ingredients were identical to the main active ingredients in Xenical.

Results:There was no significant difference in the percentage of body weight loss with Xenical compared to Xenical in those who received Xenical. The percentage of body weight loss for those who received Xenical was significantly higher than for those who received the main active ingredients.

Conclusions:Orlistat is not a better choice than the main active ingredients for the treatment of obesity.
